About White Sage (Salvia Apiana)

White sage is an evergreen shrub that grows along the California Coast Range and in Mexico. It is one of the strongest incense herbs with a rich aroma and strong smoke.

How to use

• Prepare: Ensure adequate ventilation in the room where you will be using the incense. Dress comfortably, relax and focus on your intention.

• Prepare the incense: If you are going to use just the leaves, remove the top layers of dry white sage leaves and place them in an incense bowl. You can use a shell or some other resistant container for this purpose. If you are going to use a scroll, prepare it.

• Light incense: Use matches to light one end of the scroll or white sage leaves. Wait a few seconds for the fire to die down and the incense to start smoking.

• Blow the smoke: Blow the smoldering sage to make it smoke better. If it doesn't smoke, repeat the process.

• Cleaning the room: when the incense starts to smoke, hold it over the incense bowl and slowly walk around the room you want to clean. If necessary, blow into the incense, wave it in the air, or use a pen to help you until it is smoking well again. We can say our prayer during the ceremony. To cleanse a person, the process is similar, except that you circulate the smoke around the person.

• After use: wait for the incense to completely die out. If you are not going to use the incense roll to the end, extinguish it under water and leave it in the air to dry for the next time. About Palo Santo - the sacred wood

Palo Santo is a tree that originates from South America, mainly from Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. The incense obtained from it has a characteristic smell of sweet resin and citrus and is traditionally used in shamanic ceremonies to cleanse the space and ward off negative energy.

Using Palo Santo Incense

When we light regular incense sticks, the sticks burn to the end, and Palo Santo sticks can be lit several times. After lighting a piece or a wooden stick of Palo Santa, let it burn for half to one minute, hold it at a 45 degree angle with the flame forward so that the wood glows well. Then put out the flame and smoke the incense (slightly wave the stick so that it smolders better) around your work space, home, car, bathroom or wherever you want to purify energy. The rich aromatic scent evokes good feelings and peace. Enjoy the unique smell.

When finished, place the wooden stick in a fireproof metal, glass or ceramic container so that it goes out on its own, or blow on it to prolong its smoldering and smoking. Always handle fire with care and respect.
