Long ago in ancient Egypt, the pharaohs had a wonderful tradition: in front of their temple and in their premises, they performed a ritual with a very special incense called Kyphi. It was prepared with great dedication and attention. Only priests and novices could prepare it in holy temples.

Kyphi incense is made from 19 ingredients or types of powder, which were mixed in several steps in singing vessels. Finally comes drying. The whole process takes several weeks.
