Effects of sandalwood
Indian sandalwood has a relaxing and at the same time gently invigorating effect. It silences our thoughts and creates an atmosphere in which it is easier to find inner peace and a meditative state. On a spiritual level, it supports the experience of inner unity of mind, body and spirit; strengthening of higher consciousness. It stimulates the first - root chakra and thus strengthens confidence, identity and life - vital force.
Sandalwood also calms fiery energy. In India, there is a belief that evil spirits fear sandalwood and never enter a room where its smell is present.
Sandalwood is also called the wood of immortality, because its smell does not disappear after a few minutes, as with other types of wood, but remains in the room for a long time.
