Tonka incense are the pods of the Coumarou tree, which grows up to 25 m and originates in northern South America. Today it is also grown in Argentina and Nigeria. Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia are the main producers of Tonka beans. It is highly valued in South America for its hardwood used in construction.
