Ukiyoe Tarot will delight fans of Japanese art, as it is created in the ukiyo-e artistic style. Ukiyo-e Style Marseille Tarot Symbolism! This style developed during the Edo period (1603-1868). The term ukijo-e (浮世絵) translates as "picture of the floating world". This style is characterized by bright colors, detailed patterns and distinct lines. This artistic style was used especially in woodcuts, and had a significant influence on the development of art both in Japan and abroad.

Japanese artist Koji Furuta created the cards to order and wonderfully captured the calm beauty of the "floating world" with depictions of everyday Japanese life. The major arcana is dominated by familiar archetypal images - the Kabuki actor as the Wizard, the Buddhist monk as the Hierophant, etc. For the minor arcana, the artist chose ancient Japanese symbols - traditional swords, ceremonial scepters, lacquered bowls for chalices and coins from the Edo period.

Let the images of the Ukiyoe Tarot cards with their lines, colors and composition inspire you inspiration and admiration.
